Growing up in an insta-world

It frightens me sometimes when I think about the kind of world our little girl will grow up in. Simplicity is scarce. Busy is everywhere. We have sacrificed quality for quick. There is a lot of social and not a lot of personal. I can hardly navigate my own heart through all that is meaningless on the path of purpose, but […]

i seriously love this so much. and it’s so so true.
God’s been showing me so much about social media and how self centered it all it. this just hit the nail on the head!

I couldn’t agree more with you. I think of the same thing for any future babies. This world (myself included) is all so self-involved and obsessed. Here’s hoping we can become less so He can become more.

So true. This blessed me this morning. How nice to follow such beautiful imagery and feel spoken to by Him through you. Thank you for being such a beautiful light (in this crazy photography world, too!). 🙂

27 week update

A lot has changed in the past 3 weeks! I can’t believe the final trimester is here! I’m so happy to reach this point. I want to high-five our baby and say, “Yay, good job! We got this little girl!” That will have to wait until she comes out though. As for updates, I had […]

Hello 3rd Trimester!

Woohoo! We made it to the final stretch…and I mean that quite literally! Of course, we took these photos on the most ridiculously icky, windy day. Still, I wanted to document this milestone. Since this is our first, I’ve either been enthralled or repulsed by all the nuances of pregnancy. But right now I feel pretty […]

You just wait Jen! That last trimester goes by quick and that’s when the baby grows the most that quickly! You will wake up and think… Why do my clothes not fit like they did last week! People didn’t realize I was pergo until about my 6 month and month 7 and 8,& 9 go by in a flash due to you getting ready! You will wake up and think,” man! I just thought my belly was big before!” 🙂 I’m excited for you and your hubs because there is nothing like parenthood! It changes everything about your wants. And your priorities.

Maternity Style Tips for the 1st & 2nd Trimester

Finding things to wear during pregnancy has been a little interesting for me. I suppose I assumed that having a baby bump makes everything cute, but that is not necessarily the case. To say it’s been a challenge to find cute outfits that fit and are comfortable would be a major understatement, at least for me. […]

I hate to tell you this but I didn’t gain a pound until I hit six months. My weight gain was gradual but 8 months hit and literally overnight my belly grew twice it’s size. Just be prepared because the most drastic changes come those last few months but you are still stunningly beautiful.

Obsession: Little Girl Things

  1. Oii Designs 2. Baby GAP 3. Wolfe Child 4. Liberty London 5. Wolfe Child 6. Baby GAP I have to admit, I’ve become quite obsessed with little girl things. At first all I could think about were items for boys. The little bow-ties, suspenders and hats were just too much cute to handle. Maybe it’s due to my lack of love for pink? Probably. […]
